Role & responsibilities: Mention 6-8 key responsibilities and accountabilities (as a paragraph) Items to be covered Key Responsibilities: ·Additional individual Contributor / Technical responsibilities AND/OR People Management responsibilities; ·Develop and support software for xxx LiquidIO Network adapters; ·Participate in host driver development for Linux and firmware development for NIC; ·Contribute to performance and/or feature enhancements of the existing software package (including various networking stacks); ·Work as part of a dynamic software team on various xxx products; ·Support customer in development of customized solution using products; ·Software development work will include learning of hardware products, protocol stacks, existing software on those products and other related software tools; ·The development work includes supporting/maintaining existing software and development for new RFCs/protocols. Requirements (experience and expertise areas): Mention 5-6 key requirements (can be split into MUST HAVE and PREFERRED/OPTIONAL sub-sections). INDIVUIDUAL CONTRBUTOR TECHNICAL ·8+ years of experience in linux networking device drivers and network packet processing at L2/L3/L4; ·Excellent C programming skills; ·Strong knowledge of networking protocol stacks (TCP/IP, UDP); ·Experience with Virtualization networking technologies like OVS, NSX & PCIe virtualization (SRIOV) would be a plus; ·Proven experience with solving real-time embedded issues, including threading, optimization, memory management, interrupt handling, etc; ·Experience in troubleshooting, performance analysis, and performance optimization for embedded systems; ·Familiarity with OCTEON/MIPS CPU architecture (desirable but not required); ·Working experience with multi-core/multi-CPU environments; ·Understanding of HW/SW virtualization concepts are highly desirable.
