DESCRIPTION
The ZC3094 is a high performance low dropout negative linear regulator featuring ADl'sultralow noise and ultrahighPSRR architecture for powering noise sensitive applica-tions. The device can be easily paralleled to further reducenoise, increase output current and spread heat on a PCBThe ZC3094 supplies 500mA at a typical 235mV dropoutvoltage.Operating quiescent current is nominally 2.35mAand drops to 3uA in shutdown. The device's wide outputvoltage range (0V to -19.5V)error amplifier operates inunity-gain and provides virtually constant output noise.PSRR, bandwidth, and load regulation independent ofthe programmed outputvoltage. Additional features are abipolar enable pin, programmable current limit, fast start-up capability and programmable power good to indicateoutput voltage regulation. The regulator incorporates atracking function to controlan upstream supplyto maintaina constant voltage across the ZC3094 to minimize powerdissipation and optimize PSRR.
The ZC3094 is stable with a minimum 10uF ceramic out-put capacitor Built-in protection includes internal current limit with foldback and thermal limit with hysteresis. The ZC3094 is available in thermally enhanced 12-Lead MSOP and 3mm x 3mm DFN Packages.
